The segmented tower technology is a technical solution that decomposes the traditional monolithic wind turbine tower into multiple prefabricated panels (tower segments) and assembles them on-site at the wind farm through connectors. The core function of this technology is to solve the transportation over-limit problem caused by transportation constraints for large-diameter and high-height towers. In specific implementation, the tower is divided into multiple detachable segments, which are combined into 'pieces' of 2 to 6 segments, and bolted together through longitudinal flanges to form a complete tower structure. ‌
